Writing About Death Again

I stretch out my hands

Trying to celebrate birth

But for the things I yearn

I put to rest, extinguish the burn

My music is fire and my fight is stern

I hope for the clouds and sing to the moon

But my fire is drench and my song no longer swoons

Because my sound has faded six feet deep with the sounds of the grave.
